Questions
What are we building?
We’re building an addition on the west side of our current facility and renovating the current Student Center into the originally intended use as the Heritage Chapel. This will include four adult classrooms, student area, prayer chapel, library, offices and a counseling room.
Why are we building it?
We need additional classrooms and a more appropriate setting for weddings and funerals. Our church family is also experiencing growth that requires further large group assembly areas. Plus, we need to move pastors from the temporarily approved areas originally intended for storage.
How may I prepare to participate?
Pray. Ask God what He wants you to do and for direction regarding your participation. Read Scripture passages that speak about stewardship and giving, such as 1 Corinthians 16:2, 2 Corinthians 8:7, Acts 20:35, Luke 6:38, Proverbs 3:5-9 & 11:25 and Psalm 116:12.
How will we pay for it?
Expenses for the Development and Planning stage that is presently underway are being met through our Operation Expansion Fund from gifts given to the Building Fund. Construction costs will be initially covered by a construction bank loan and then paid off over a three-year period through a combination of contributions made to the Beyond Ourselves Capital Stewardship Journey and the sale of the downtown Heritage property.
Will I be pressured to make a pledge?
No. Participation in the campaign and how much you give will be entirely up to you. Everyone who attends FCC will be given the opportunity to contribute if they wish to do so.
